The Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore will feature a combination of the the cityscape of Singapore, enabling participants and supporters to admire the breathtaking view of the unique urban architecture in downtown Central Business District and Singapore’s famous greenery at the East Coast Park recreational area. We offer race packages: Race Course (Map) The course for the Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore Triathlon starts and finishes at the Playground @ Big Splash and aims to deliver a truly unique experience on one of the most dynamic and exciting courses on the Ironman 70.3 scene. Swim Course (1.9 Km) The swim is based along Singapore's coast in warm, usually calm inshore waters. It is an ocean swim in saltwater, and will feture waves starts, from the beach. Singapore waters are warm, hence wetsuits will not be required. Visibility is about 1.5 meters. The course will take swimmers on a two-lap rectangular course over 1.9kms in total. The course for 2010 will be a unique, safe two-lap, two lane swim allowing slower or unsure swimmers a safe passage at all times. Bike Course (90.1 Km) The bike course is three (3) laps of fast and flat roads. This year’s new bike route will also be the first-ever sporting event to take the competitors from one end of the island to the other, with the scenic route spanning from the East Coast Park to Pasir Panjang Viaduct, passing iconic landmarks like the Singapore Flyer, the Esplanade and the famous Marina Bay cityscape, towering skyscrapers in the business district, Vivocity Mall, Sentosa and Mount Faber. The Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore bike leg promises a memorable and unique city course, not found in most races. The bike course will finish where it starts on the East Coast which will allow your friends and family to stay at the swim/ T1 / Finish area to enjoy the whole race. Run Course (21.1 Km) The course is three (3) laps and will feature aid stations at approximately every 1.5km during the run on each lap. At some points, there will also be light shower stations to cool off, and fruit stations for energy replacement. The run course at this time will be hot and it’s fast and flat but also features shaded paths, most of the time. The finishing point will be at the Race HQ area adjacent to T1/T2 following which there is an aid station in the form of a recovery area. The run itself will take competitors along the shoreline of the East Coast Park which is an excellent place for spectators to cheer on their favourite athletes! The aid stations on the run will ALL carry water, an energy drink and flat Coke. Certain Aid stations will have bananas and oranges in addition to liquids and Powerbar Gels. Full details of aid stations will be available closer to the event. Aid Stations The course aid stations will have all drinks plus oranges, bananas and watermelon. Finish Arena Competitiors will finish along a finish chute surrounded by big crowds cheering them on. The area will host a Recovery area with the Post Race Banquet, Medical booths, additional Food and Beverage areas, VIP tents, and entertainment, in a great carnival spirit to celebrate our Champs. |
