Now in its fourteenth year, the Laguna Phuket Triathlon is considered Southeast Asia’s premier triathlon event with one of the most challenging and spectacular bike and run courses on the triathlon calendar. Defending champions Samantha McGlone and Reinaldo Colucci are expected to compete again to defend their titles but will face strong opposition from some of the finest pro athletes in the world. The event will again feature an age group competition, the Herbalife Corporate Challenge Team Relay and a 6Km Fun Run. After the sell out success of the 2006 event entries are expected to go even faster this year.

Laguna Phuket International Marathon (15 June 2008)
Promoted under the “Run Paradise!” slogan, The Thai resort island of Phuket will host the second edition of the Laguna Phuket International Marathon Festival. More than 10000 participants are expected to attend the event with nearly 3000 runners participating in the marathon and supporting races. The event scheduled for Sunday 15 June, will allow locals and foreign participants from more than 30 countries to discover the beautiful landscapes and famous beaches of the island.
